It's Never as Easy as It Looks

So You Wanna Become an Internet Marketer?

That’s great, but here is a bit of armour for you before you rush in to launch your worldwide home based business opportunity.  First, put on a helmet and do some research, Google your own questions, and if you see an interesting offer, Google that too.  Don’t pull out your wallet or your credit card before you know more about them, than they know about you.  That’s not as simple as you may think.  You see, they will know quite a lot about you, just from your interest in their product.

So be prepared, be well armed with research, and resist temptation. Don’t take on anything that you can’t easily explain to a family member.  Don’t even think about signing up to a flashy website which seems to know just what you are looking for because it’s all displayed in pictorial splendour.  These graphic displays of cars, beautiful homes and buckets of money have nothing to do with the product.  It has everything to do with what the vendors hope they can get out of it. It is promises by people you don’t know and in real life they wouldn’t get a bite from you.

If you do buy one of these home based business opportunities, you’ll end up with something, that could be either good or bad.  A kind of lucky dip which you will have to sell to other people and you are probably not even sure if it has a market.  Unless you are a savvy marketer who knows the ins and outs of advertising, you will end up, like so many others, spending all your money on Google and Yahoo ads, looking for buyers who have no experience and therefore also don’t know what the product really is, or does.

So I repeat, do your research, because the exciting, expensive home based business you see on the website,  will never measure up to even your most modest  expectations.  What you see is never what you’ll get and whatever it is, it will always be you who has to find the customers to buy the product.

Next you’ll need your body armour, because you’ll soon be tempted by opportunities that seem just too good to be true.  Have you fallen on your feet, or are these products simply not true.  Again, use that Google weapon called search, and vanquish those scammers and cheats.  Never let emotion carry the outcome of your decisions.

You want to believe you have found your perfect home based business, who doesn’t?  It’s tempting to tell yourself that these people are prepared to make you rich overnight. They seem really genuine, switched on and so helpful.  So, although you have promised yourself you wouldn’t, you will spend some money anyway, probably more than you can afford, because you are confident you’ll have all the support you were so earnestly promised, just before you bought that shiny home based opporunity.  You figure, just a couple of sales will pay for it.  Piece of cake, right?

On the Internet people are no different to anywhere else.  After all, we are the same people. But there is an important human dimension missing online, which tends to influence all of us.  There is no physical eye contact or body language which means that there is often little or no emotional commitment.  This can make communications merciless, particularly by irresponsible and or dishonest vendors, towards those who are new and inexperienced.

New products are being launched almost daily and marketers are outdoing each other with promises of turnkey programs and systems which virtually require no human participation. Show up an hour or 2 a week and tweak something. The Program will run itself.  Well, quite honestly, it won’t, and even if it did, it won’t advertise itself and it certainly won’t pay the bills.

Even the greenest newbie knows that to expect money for nothing is as unrealistic on the internet as it is in the real world.  We all know ourselves well enough to know our limits of knowledge when it comes to doing business.  We know that no home business opportunity, no matter how ingeniously designed, is going to work for us if we can’t run it.

All the things I have described, is exactly what triggers cynicism and gives the online, home based business world such a bad name.  It is what makes so many newbies pick up their maxed out credit card and make a hasty exit.  When they do that, everybody loses.

Marketers are not usually dishonest, they stretch the truth sometimes and they frequently hide their products in a lot of froth and bubbles.  The competition for new customers is fierce, and to get that sale marketers often leave out some fundamental facts such as, This is an old products which has been recycled with a flashy new website or, this new home based business, probably won’t work for someone who is either new to the internet, or has no business experience.

At the end of the day, whatever the home business opportunity, it has to be advertised, and even the most experienced Marketer, with the biggest list in the world will have to do some work.  In your case, just how much work you’ll have to do and how much time and disappointment you will suffer will depend on what kind of start you give yourself.

The fact is that if you are new to internet marketing, the only reason you can think to yourself, that there is nothing for you to learn, is that you haven’t been around long enough to be faced with the questions.

How It All Began For Me!

My Long Journey to My Own Home Based Business!

Who am I?

Well, for one thing, I have had an interesting life.  I was born in Denmark, and immigrated to Australia when I was fifteen years old. I married young and spent many years in partnership with a fascinating and very complicated man, whom I loved dearly. I’ve had one child, a son, who has long since made me a grandmother, several times over.

I have travelled the world, I have lived in many places, in several countries and I have had some amazing experiences. At 42 I became a widow with very few resources. I created and founded my own business opportunity, only to give it up after fifteen years of hard, but very satisfying work.

I have had one constant in my life, I love to write.  I started to write little stories when I was less than 10 years old, and now, as a grandmother, I can look back and say; if this is a hobby, it must be a very serious hobby because it has lasted for 58 years.

At age fifteen, when my parents brought me to Australia, my life took a huge step backward.  It meant that I not only had to leave my country, my friends, my education and everything I knew and treasured, I also had to leave my language along with my ambition to become a writer and a journalist.  In hindsight, that was by far the most painful to me.

It took several years to become fluent in English, even longer to regain my interest in writing, and I didn’t feel truly confident to begin writing again until my thoughts were in English as well as my speech. It’s funny, but until I was forced to change language, I had always assumed that thoughts were just that.  I hadn’t realized that even our most abstract thoughts are expressed in language.

I’ll always remember a time not long after we arrived in Australia.  I was awoken in the middle of the night by my mother who needed me to answer an important question.  I was very sleepy and tried with all my might to answer her agitated questions … by using my very limited, broken English.  Only later did it occur to me that I must have been woken in the middle of some kind of self inflicted English lesson.

By now you have probably guessed that I love language and I particularly love the English language.  It is a fascinating blend of old English and European tribal languages. But unlike the structured European languages that evolved over time, English became a free flowing, unstructured, ever adaptable tool for the imagination and self expression.

I can’t remember who said it but someone once stated that the less structured a language is, the more freedom it allows for thought and expression.  I’ve always remembered it because it makes so much sense.

About a year ago, I decided I needed to change my life.  Retirement never suited my personality and my once reliable income was being reduced due to circumstances beyond my control.  At that time I used to spend hours on my computer.  It was inevitable that I would decide to start my own, worldwide home based business on the internet.

A few days ago, I found what I think is the very first article I wrote for my then very new home based business. It was published around twelve months ago.  My misplaced optimism and inexperience was obvious right through the article. I read it with the benefit of hindsight and it was truly painful.

The article proved to me how much I had learned since then and how much I had changed.  It seemed more like five years than just one.
Had I stayed in retirement I know now that I would not be the person I am today and despite all the mistakes and the debts and the heartaches, I like this version of me so much better than the old one.

Veretekk and my worldwide Home Based Business!

How To Use Veretekk Without Going Back To School!

I have something very interesting to tell you, but to do that, I have to assume that even if you’re not a member of Veretekk, you have at least heard of it.

Veretekk is a program unlike any other you can find on the internet. The technology they use, puts them five years ahead of any competitor.  Once you master that system, success is inevitable.  But you need experience and you need to study to learn the system and that’s not easy. It takes time and most home based business owners don’t have a lot of that.  Even fewer have the necessary patience to learn the systems and study the mechanics of a bucket load of high tech systems and software programs.

Few people would disagree that the ultimate prize for a worldwide home based business owner would be a ready to go, no study necessary, automatically working Veretekk system.  That’s not yet possible, but knowing Veretekk, I’m sure they are working on it.

Unfortunately, a lot of people, including me, would call it a nightmare just to learn how to use it to its full advantage.  Even Veretekk agrees it’s a tough call.  That’s why they encourage people NOT to join a paid membership.

They specifically request that potential members sign up ONLY for a free Silver membership. That will give them access to the training areas.  They need to spend at least a week there, to study the tutorials, and attend some live training conferences, before they should even consider a paid membership.  Who does that?

At that point, even many experienced people find it too demanding on their time and decide not to proceed. As to newbies, who are looking for a home based business opportunity, they simply become overwhelmed.

The other thing to consider is that a gold membership although it’s cheaper than most inferior programs, still attracts a membership fee of around $50 a month. That’s a financial commitment that many people today will find difficult.

At this point you actually begin to wish that Veretekk wasn’t such a great program because there’s no question that if you combine it with your own, worldwide home based business, you will have everything you could ever want, to guarantee the success of your business.

So given that, I thought I’d tell you how I managed to get many similar benefits to Veretekk, yet avoid the financial burden, not to mention those countless hours of study.

You see; I have been using an ingenious system, acquired by a group of people calling themselves The Crazy Foxes. This group is not only connected to Veretekk, they have access to a program which runs almost parallel to Veretekk.  It has copied many of the Veretekk software and systems, admittedly in a much smaller way, but for someone like me, that’s great, because the software is easy to use and I don’t have to spend so much time training.

How Do You Pick A Good Product?

In the current financial climate I couldn’t help wonder just how much the economy it has affected the home based business industry. There is no doubt more people than ever look for an internet home business to save them from the crisis. But what exactly are they looking for? What do they expect to find and what can they really hope to get?

The internet is a world of opportunity and at the same time it can rob you of every penny you’ve got, spit you out and send you right back where you came from. Everything comes back to what kind of home based business opportunity you intend to get into.  That will probably depend on how much you know about internet marketing and how much you are prepared to learn.  Because, without skills and knowledge, you will find nothing but disappointment.

An inexperienced person can get a start on the internet, but only if you join a business opportunity which offers a complete training and support program. Not just training which deals with the product you have just purchased, but training that covers all the skills necessary to call yourself a successful home based business operator.

The biggest hurdle a newbie has to face is picking the right product. That's because the right product is rarely the one you’ll find in your inbox.  First of all, it won’t be expensive.  It will have real content such as training videos and direct person to person support and mentoring. Such home based business opportunities are available and you’ll find them if you know how and where to look but you have to focus your search on your needs rather than your wants.

The wrong home business opportunity will be extremely easy to find for quite a number of reasons. Your inbox will be full of them, they will all look very exciting and when you read the sales letter you will be convinced that this product will bring you all the wonderful things you have always hoped for.  That’s because the website is giving you that impression. Like the beautiful car, the mansion, and a life partner from the pages of Mills and Boone, all beautifully presented. All you have to do is buy this product and it can all be yours.

If you take away the emotion, and clear your head, what you’ll actually see, is a website promising all these things but never telling you how to get them. That will be your responsibility. Any business, online, just as in real life, needs sales.  It’s what makes a home based business run.  Whatever product you choose to buy, you will have to promote and advertise it. All these websites actually say is ‘buy the product, sell it to others and it will come’.

Recently, one such promotion made a compensation plan the entire product. It sold like crazy for a few weeks. It had a great website but no product. You were expected to earn compensation on a compensation plan. Can it get any sillier than that? Yes it probably can, and when it does, it will be the next great thing for a few weeks, a lot of lazy marketers will make a killing and a lot of bedazzled newcomers will take a big loss.

So you wonder, what makes these kinds of promotions so successful? It’s all about the money. These products are not really products.  They are just pretty wrappings with a capture page.  They have been designed for a very specific purpose.  Long established, lazy marketers love to get in on these products, they are expensive so there’s a hefty commission in it for them. They get first bite of the cherry.

All they have to do is use their auto responder to send out a pre formatted letter to their massive email lists of sometimes hundreds of thousands. Never even raises a sweat on the brow. The hardest part is to have to sit back and wait for the money to roll in.  Granted, it doesn’t last long. After a few weeks the buzz dies down, negative comments begin to appear in the forums and bad publicity follows. The pickings become scarce. But that’s not a problem because the next big thing is already getting a final polish in the web design department.  It’s just about ready to go.

Internet marketers are not interested in old products, but they will gladly accept recycled tired old programs with outdated information, as long as it looks new, and inviting, with a gimmick, a brand new website and a hefty commission.  That, in a nutshell, is how useless products find a much wider audience than the few good products.

New people have a right to want to succeed in a genuine home based business and to make some money. It's wrong to entice money from people in this way.  But it is also fair to say that newbies don’t have a right to expect immediate success. Not without first getting the skills and enough knowledge to know what they are doing.

So why don’t the good products get the same attention as the bad products? Good products, and by that I mean products that fill a need and can genuinely be called a home based business opportunity, are very rare. That’s because there is not much left that hasn’t already been done.

It takes time and skill to produce an original product and the creator will usually have a genuine commitment to the product and customers. Vendors, who have a really good product, tend to price it fairly because they want to see it reach the people who need it. They also want it to continue to bring in sales over a long period of time.  That means affiliate commissions will be small and the big guys won't touch it. That leaves fewer affiliates who will promote that particular home based opportunity. The product therefore becomes a lot less visible on the internet.

There are such genuine, inexpensive home business opportunities that you can join.  They will have the kind of support that's good enough to enable you to earn money while you learn.  Learning is tedious, but it’s very necessary to your success.  If you can immediately implement what you learn from training videos and consultations with your fellow members, you start to see the results much sooner and, believe it or not, it actually becomes fun to do, not to mention, very satisfying!

You just have to accept that success takes a little time, it takes work and it takes discipline to stay focused on your goals. If you can do that, you will succeed and you really will be able to realize your dreams.

A Moral Dilemma

Would You Like A Good Example of a Moral Dilemma?

One of the great things about finding the right home based business opportunity, is that you can finally stop looking.  That means you no longer need worry about things like being scammed, or having dealings with unethical people.  But every once in awhile  you are reminded of just how bad it can be out there and, if by chance, you see someone in the middle of potential disaster, you just want to reach out and say “STOP, please don’t go there”.

I have just had such a case. Someone signed up for a 7 day trial, for a program which belonged to my past life, before my treasured, six month old, worldwide home based business opportunity.  I wrote the guy a short simple email congratulating him on his purchase and offered my help and support.

He wrote back, but did not mention the program. But he thanked me and told me he had recently joined; let’s call it opportunity 1.  A program, I know firsthand to be unethical, very expensive and quite notorious. He also told me he was about to join opportunity no2, which as he said, was a free program.  I happen to know that program is free only till you sign up. If you expect to use it you have to pay. But at least with this one he will have fair warning.

My dilemma was; here is someone, I suspect is not very experienced, who is working hard trying his best to succeed. But already he looks like he has the cards stacked against him.  You see, I have had some very negative experience with program1 and I know a large number of people have shared a similar experience.  The trouble is; he has already signed up and probably can’t do much about. But then forewarned is forearmed.

So here is my dilemma; On the one hand, I want to present to him with my own home based business opportunity as I believe it would be of great help to him. As we have already met so to speak, I’m sure he will at least have a look at it.  But on the other hand, my conscience screams out ‘tell him what you know!’ I know his opinion about me is very likely to change if I tell him the truth.  But I also need to do what I consider the right thing.

So what did I do?  I did both. First I took the risk and told him him my exact experience with program no 1.  I told him how, not long after joining that same program, I had taken a bad fall which kept me from accessing my internet for almost 3 months. When I finally got back on line, one handed, I wrote a letter explaining my circumstances and I cancelled the program. I also cancelled the monthly subscription, which, during my absence, had somehow become 2 monthly subscriptions.

I assumed there would be no further bleeding from my credit card but no such luck.  For the ensuing 3 months I was charged and debited for two subscriptions a month, and nothing I could say or do could stop it.  Even my bank tried to help me. My debt was rising rapidly and my income, because of my injuries, had dwindled.  The only thing I could do was to pay out the entire debt on the credit card, cancel it and get a completely new card. It almost ruined me.

So I advised my new friend, at least, I hope he still is my new friend, to never sign up for any program without first using Google to check it out. I suggested that if he is not finding success with that program or not getting his commissions, (I never got mine) and he decides to cancel, he should consider my experience and make sure it is a very carefully planned cancellation.

I then went on to tell him about my present worldwide home based business. I told him to Google it and asked him to then have a look at it. I hope he stayed with me through all that because if he did, he will find a real home based business, which will cost him very little money to start, but which will give him the free training and support he needs while he earns as he learns.

He told me he wants a worldwide home based business, and yes, he actually said worldwide, and where he is right now, that’s not very likely to happen. So I hope I haven’t turned him off and that he will still be prepared to look at my home business which really does have all the qualifications he is looking for.

Time will tell, but I’ll keep an eye on my email box for the next few days.

How Long Can You Afford Not To Take Action?

I have spent 18 months on the internet trying to create a successful worldwide home based business. But for all except the last six month, I have been remarkably unsuccessful.

I have always found that the hardest thing in the world, at least for me, is to admit when I’m wrong. In fact, it took a bad fall down a flight of stairs for me to come to my senses and finally admit that I was wrong and needed to start again from scratch.

Only when I was forced to stop and really look at what I had done, did I realise that all these worldwide home based businesses opportunities I had acquired, had one glaring thing in common, they were meant for someone with a lot more experience that I had.  Each one of them needed a realistic business plan, along with an expert to take charge of marketing and sales. Unfortunately, all they had was me...I was one person in need of a small army!

This profound realisation might never have hit me had I not had a fall which forced off the internet almost twelve months ago.  Because of injuries and broken bones, I was unable to type and for awhile, even using a mouse. I suddenly had plenty of time to think, and I began to come to my senses.  As soon as I could, I got rid of almost everything connected to my past home based business opportunities and kept only those programs that had no monthly fees and where I knew they might be useful for cheap advertising in the future.

Once I recovered from my accident enough to use one hand to type, I went back to just surfing the net. I wanted to research where I’d gone wrong and I look for ways to learn some of the things I knew I would need in the future. I even played around with a few free home based business opportunities.  But that just reinforced what I’d always known, that you get what you pay for.  Free programs will only make someone else rich, if that.

Finally, six months ago I was ready to sign up for just one home based business, It was a very well researched product, since, let’s face it, I had been able to do little else but research for almost six months.  I chose that business first because I really like the group of people who support it.  But, I did in fact have a very specific criterion.

The product had to fill a genuine need to the broadest number of my potential customers.  It had to be easy for even an inexperience person to understand.  It had to show a proven track record, and live up to all promises made.  It also had to be very affordable.

I wanted real support, the type of support that wouldn’t fade away once the payment went through, or would just teach me only about the product I’d bought. I wanted help with the many things I hadn't yet learned to do, like all those gaps in my knowledge that I needed to fill.  This home based business opportunity would have to stand alone. It would need a daily source of leads, and the tools necessary to process those leads.

It should also include a system which could maximise the benefits of SEO and RSS feeds.  What I wanted was a one stop home based business that would cost me very little to run and would meet all my requirements.  What I did not want was to be forced to buy additional products, just to be able to promote the business.

I know that was a huge ask, but I had the benefit of knowing, through all those months of research, exactly where to find a home based business that would meet that criterion.  What I most love about this business is that it comes with a Skype group chat. It sits on my desktop and gives me instant access to my fellow members when I need help, or just want a chat.

It’s a bit like having 100 adjoining offices, where you can pop your head in and ask for advice. It’s nice and very comforting.

Internet marketing can be very lonely and it is good to share your daily experiences with people who understand your particular home business, and are willing to help when it is needed.

Can You Fix Your Past Mistakes?

Is it Time for YOU To Go Back and Fix YOUR Mistakes?

I’ve been running a home based business opportunity on the internet for almost 18 months now.  Despite having run a successful business for more than 15 years in real life, I don’t believe it was any easier for me to set up on the internet than it would be for anyone else.

Sure, I had some business experience, but moving to the internet is like moving to another country with an alien culture and a different set of rules and regulations. You basically have to start from scratch.

Don’t let anyone try to tell you, you can set yourself up in a worldwide home based business and become successful virtually overnight.  Those who suggest that, and there are plenty of them, are not telling you the truth.

It doesn’t matter what type of home based business you buy. It doesn’t matter how much potential you believe the product has, or how many people, like yourself, seem to flock to buy it.  At the end of the day, you’re the one who has to find ways to sell it.

No matter how great or cheap or expensive your worldwide home based business opportunity is, it is your job to attract the customers.  Only advertising can do that.  So keep in mind, you will be the one who pays the cost of that, either with your bank account or credit card. If you don’t, the product becomes just another dud gathering dust on your hard drive.

Unless you have already worked out your costs based on a realistic marketing plan, you will have to coast along on wishful thinking and every known statistic suggests you’ll fail. There’s no Magic Genie between you and the customers you hope to reach. This is true whether you promote a website, a product, or some new invention which promises full automation on auto pilot.

If you still have your resources, hold on to them till you have learned ‘what you don’t know’, because unless you already have a lot of experience under your belt, chances are they will far outweigh the ‘things you DO know’. Just remember, no matter how you spend your time and resources, if there are no sales there’s no income.  You can have the greatest home based business in the world, but if you don’t know how to market it to get sales, you will fail.

When you decide to start a home based business opportunity, you must first be realistic.  Anything less is just plain foolish. A home business is like any other business.  You cannot set up a desk in an office somewhere, or launch a website on the internet and expect customers to show up ready to buy.

You need to give yourself at least 3 to 6 months to learn the stuff you need to know and to attract a regular flow of traffic to your business.  You should understand your future home business in your head before you put it into practice.  When you’re ready, you should then put it on paper in a business plan.

Choose your product carefully and make sure it comes with first class sales material and support.  Only then can you say, “I now have a working home based business”.  You may fluke a sale or two before you get there, but that’ll be luck. You cannot base a business, or your financial future, on luck.

I’m able to tell you all this because I’ve been there and I’ve survived it all. I’m writing this because I want to even the balance. There are far too many people out there painting rosy pictures just to get your business.  It’s time to insert a bit of reality.  False expectations will not help you make money.  Reality will.

Personally, I made a lot of mistakes and wasted a lot of money.  Sadly that makes me very average, not at all unique.  I ended up with a folder packed with very costly, ‘wrong’ products, half of which I could barely make sense of. That’s when I found myself at the cross road where I had to either give up and go home, or go back to basics and rework my strategy completely.  That was the point when I decided to go back to start.

I knew what I needed.  I had to find a program I could afford, which meant it had to be very inexpensive.  It had to provide the kind of support which not only teaches you how to manage your purchase but helps you fill in the gaps in your knowledge.  I needed a step by step manual on how to get to that place where I could make some money.

Yes, I was lucky, because I found it by chance.   It has been six months and I haven’t looked back once.   If you are ready to go back and correct your mistakes, and get it right this time, then this is where you ought to be.

Since I started my worldwide home based business opportunity, less than 18 months ago, I’ve tried to keep up a flow of articles which focus on the realities of having an internet home based business.  I like to direct them to the new people who start out the way most of us did, without knowing what to do or where to begin.  I have wanted to express – the good - the bad - and the sometimes awful - experiences most of us have to face as beginners in what has been described as the 21st century’s version of the World Wild West.

Who hasn’t been sucked in by a promise of a free home based business opportunity, which sounds like the answer to all your prayers? I certainly have….several times. You know the drill. You sign up for the free product. Then you are taken to a sales page with a never-again-to-be-repeated offer, which will enable you to actually USE the program. You can become very cynical after a while. But if you’re like me, you can’t help yourself… you still have to check it out.

Then there is that fantastic launch everyone will talk about, with the expensive, never before seen product which can make you a guaranteed overnight success.  You rush not to miss out on what everyone says is a one time opportunity. It has a big price tag, but with so many people wanting to get onboard, it must be worth the money.  So you buy it.

Trouble is, you need time to study it just to figure out what it can do for you and in the process you realize that it requires some skills you don’t quite understand.  So because you don’t have a list of customers you can promote to, you are left with direct advertising.  Now you have to decide how and where to place your ads and how much you can afford to spend.  You are already half aware that you are probably way back in the queue when it comes to your ads being shown.

It is not long before you realize that although the right home based business may be the key to your success, planning and executing your advertising will be the key to whether you succeed or fail.  Even a free home based business will not be free if you want to make some money.

No matter what kind of home based business opportunity you decide on, it will not sell itself.  You have to advertise it.  So before you blow your budget on product, be very sure it is reasonably priced, and that it appeals to most customers as something they need.  It should offer good sales material and be backed by proven support.

I struggled for almost a year to make money on my various home based business opportunities. I tried just about everything, and spent a small fortune in the process. None of those expensive programs ever lived up to the hype.  Sure, I made a little money here and there, but never enough to call it a meaningful income.  So when I came across the Crazy Foxes marketing Group, I expected it to be yet another disappointment.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly on Internet Marketing


There are several key ways you can make real money in a worldwide home based business opportunity, but to get set up on “auto control with a virtual reality cash machine”, or to be told that a couple of hours a week is all that’s required to succeed in a business, isn’t one of them.

When you first go on the internet to look for a home based business opportunity, you will find there are numerous programs to choose from. Many purport to be free, at least in the beginning, but eventually it’s going to cost you some money, a lot of study and a lot of work.  That’s before you even begin to make any money.  So, making the right choices at the start is crucial to you future success.

Let’s face it, if automation is needed to run your own home based business for you, it’s always going to cost you money and you are never going to understand what you are doing.  If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.  To get something of value, for nothing, is no easier on the Internet, than it is in the real world.

Which leads me to another point: On the internet you will be subjected daily to obvious questions such as “do you want to make 100K a month own an expensive car and live in a mansion?” Whether it is asked as a direct question, or inferred subliminally, it is a silly empty question.  It promises the impossible and frankly it’s insulting to the people to whom it is directed.  If that is the business opportunity you have had the misfortune to buy, then how are you going to ask others to buy it from you.  Are you seriously comfortable doing that?

No one, who has a successful home based business, will respond to a suggestion that they don’t need to do any real work.  Anyone with even a smidgen of business experience will know that the two most important things in any business, whether online or off, is to get new customers and get new sales. It’s fundamental and it’s a full time job.

If you want to make money in your own home based business, then you need to have a product that makes those two things easy.  That means a product which represents good value to the customer. It must be something they need and have a daily use for.  It must be easy to advertise and very responsive.  The only person in your own home business who should make those choices is you.  That’s because you will be the only person who has to spend the money on promotion and advertising.

Most of us have been both a buyer and a seller at some point in our lives that is why, deep down, we really do know what we need as opposed to what we want.  What a buyer, really needs from a seller is a genuine product, a fair price, good comprehensive information and after sale support.  The irony is that we so often let our hope -wants overrule our needs and that can often become very expensive.

People looking to start an ‘easy’ home business are not lazy. They are simply looking for a business they can understand and use immediately.  It takes time to learn which skills are required before you can run a successful home based business on the internet.  It is not helpful to anyone if beginners are inundated with unrealistic programs false promises and misinformation.

No one should ever be encouraged to buy a business based on the promise that it will run itself.  Even if it could, and it can’t, why is it assumed that newbie’s are not prepared to put the work in to build their home based business? I don’t believe that at all.  I think they are there to learn and to find out what is required to become successful and they don’t want their time wasted with misinformation.  Why should they?

Why would anyone expect people to be happy and excited to start a business they don’t understand and don’t know how to operate?  Of course, reality will catch up eventually but by the time it does, you will probably have spent several weeks studying and learning about stuff you have never heard of before only to realize that this is not your kind of home based business opportunity.

If you are one of the many people who are still new to the internet and still impatient to get started in a business, then you must at the very least, seek out the people who can give you the right information without charging you a king’s ransom.

How to start a business and not go broke

How do you start a home business without going broke?

I was a retiree, 18 months ago, when I first made a decision to set up a worldwide home based business on the internet.  I mean, how hard could it be? I had recently retired from 15 years of running my own business in the real world and that wasn’t easy either.

As I sat at my desk in the corner of my bedroom, I looked around the room and thought what an amazing world we live in. Here I was, faced with an opportunity to set up and run a home based business from the corner of my bedroom. When else has that ever been possible?

My home is not large and I don’t have a lot of space so my desk is quite small.  Propped on top of it is a four year old computer, admittedly, with quite a few techie upgrades, for gaming purposes, but set up didn’t exactly represent an image of runaway success.

What I love most about the internet is that it is such a great leveller.  I can sit here in the corner, at my desk, still in my morning housecoat, and no one ever needs to know. Well, okay, you know it now, but you know what I mean. I was extremely optimistic and felt sure I would quickly turn myself into an online success. All I had to do was use my past experience, and apply it to the Internet.  Out of the mouth of babes comes..!

But I had one huge thing in my favour, an unstoppable persistence. I had already checked out more than twenty business opportunities and had purchased a few of them, unfortunately at some considerable cost, but I felt sure I would quickly earn the money back.  Yes! I went a little crazy.

I soon realised that a home based business requires some skills that do not apply offline. I found myself trying to learn a lot of things I had never heard of before.  I clocked more hours studying than I had done since high school and being a lot older, study had become a lot more difficult.  But despite everything, I must admit, I loved every minute of it.

What saved me was a bad fall down the stairs.  It kept me off the internet completely for three months and even when I finally switched the computer back on, I had to work with one hand. All I could do was to cancel my home based business opportunities, which meant; I got rid of the expensive programs, consolidated my credit cards and wrote it all off as an expensive lesson. Then I waited to get better.

Whenever possible, I did a little surfing just to learn and understand how the internet really works.  But in all, it took six months for me to get back to near normal and believe me, an incident like that gives you a lot of time to think.  At a point I did realize that even if I had acquired the skills to operate the programs I had foolishly called my home based business, I would have needed a staff of at least two or three experienced marketers to operate it.

After the six month I joined some free programs, mostly to try to build a list and generate a little passive income.  I did keep looking for the right opportunity and I did find it.  It was called Veretekk.  I knew this would be my ultimate worldwide home based business opportunity, but I also knew I did not yet have the experience to use the program, not did I have the finance to take it on.

So I looked around for a business which was linked to Veretekk and again I was very lucky. I found this great group of people, many of them with more than 10 years experience, all of them ready to help each other succeed beyond what is possible for just one person to do. Just a Bit of Frank Information for Newbies

If I was to say to you, hey, there’s an empty Office/Shop down the road, why don’t you grab it right now and start your own business opportunity? What would you say?

Chances are you’ll tell me I’m nuts. Why? Because you would realize right away that you don’t open a business on a whim. First you’d have to know what type of business you want. You would need to do some research to establish if such a business can be profitable in that location. You would have to negotiate a lease, pay some rent and arrange and pay for a fit out. You would then need to get your stock, and work out what type of marketing and advertising to focus on to get some customers.  That all takes time and experience and you will know almost immediately whether you have what it takes.

That’s not the case on the internet. First of all, with a home based business opportunity, you don't have to go through most of the things I mentioned.  That is good, but that is also what makes the internet look so deceptively easy.  The internet is the great leveller. Everyone, regardless of age, experience, nationality or religion can start a business online, with little or no investment. But make no mistake, not everyone's home based business will be equal or successful.

You will soon learn that there are many different types of home based businesses and opportunities, within the internet business community.  Your skill and experience will place you on the appropriated rung of success, probably sooner than you will realize that such a rung even exists.
On the lowest rung is the newbie; a newbie is a new arrival, an amateur who soon picks up that there is some kind of secret to success, known only by Guru’s which once discovered will bring ultimate success.  The longer you hold on to that idea, the longer it will take you to succeed.

Few marketing veterans expect a newbie to survive their first home based business for very long, either financially or emotionally.  A few of them will have no qualms promoting overpriced, overpromised products to them knowing, or at least suspecting, that few of them will last long enough to learn how to use the product, let alone make any money from it.

Then, at the other end of the scale you have the Guru; A Guru is someone who is either rumoured to be, or claims to be earning $millions each year.  Someone who is admired, respected and sometimes vilified by others, but is acclaimed as a uniquely skilled expert.  Of course, a Guru can also be self proclaimed. The internet is very fluid that way.

A Guru knows there are no secrets to a successful home based business on the internet.  Well perhaps this one secret; to succeed on the internet requires a lot of new skills, some ability and some hard work.  Thats it thats the secret.  It does not sound all that different to a real world business and that’s because it isn’t.

Finally we have everybody else. The ‘have yet to get anywhere’, the ‘up and comings’, the ‘ne’er do well’s’, the ‘on the way to success’, and finally, the few who can say they have made it.

Where you will eventually belong and what type of worldwide home business you’ll finally own, will depend on how well you plan your business, how prepared you are to learn and how much time you are prepared to put into it.  My advice to you is to learn as much as you can before you start your own home business and particularly before you start to spend any money.

Experiment with free products before you start draining your credit card and never buy a product that you cannot visualise explaining and selling to a customer.  Make sure the product has a practical use which will meet the needs of your customers. You product should make sense to you before you start to market it to others.  By 'sense' I mean for example that if it comes with a manual and a dozen videos it not likely to make sense for awhile.

Knowing how and where to get your customers for your new home based business is your first priority, just as it is in the real world, so start learning all about advertising on the internet. Get some free list building programs and build yourself a list of potential customers you can market to. Check out the traffic exchanges and safe lists.  Then look around for the right product to present to your list of potential customers.

How I Started a Worldwide Home Based Business.

I was always a very positive person.  I took pride in my successful business and I took it for granted. Then I retired.

From that moment on it was as if I had swallowed ‘stupid pills’, I seemed to become less interesting to other people, as if I no longer had anything of value to say.  After a while I started to believe them, I began to lose my confidence and even made some financial decisions I never would have made when I was in business.  My income began to dwindle and I was becoming depressed.

My salvation was my computer.  It sat there, on my desk, neglected and forlorn, mocking me to get a life.  I decided to get back online to look for a home based business opportunity.  I needed to regain my life.

When you search Google for any words connected with worldwide home based Business opportunity, or Online marketing opportunity etc, the response is overwhelming.  With so many choices and so much hype you quickly realise that to proceed is to walk in quicksand.  How do you choose someone to trust?  How do you pick out the genuine offers from the scams? And if and when you do, will there be anyone to back you up with support for your new home based business once you have paid your money?  More than likely there won’t be.

Like most people I was very cynical about the possibility of making money with a home based business.  Reading a lot of the websites didn’t help. Unrealistic promises don’t impress online any more than they do offline.  Despite knowing this, I read as many as I could find and even joined a couple of mostly free programs to test the water.  I soon learned some very valuable things that all newbies would profit from.

First, whatever else you do, lock up your credit card. Don’t even think of spending until you understand what an internet home based business really means.  Don’t be deceived that is is any different to a real world business.  Any business, online and offline has two prime function, attract business and get sales.  When you look through the many offers for a worldwide business opportunity, you would be excused for thinking otherwise.

The thing to remember is that even the most technical, automated marvel has to be advertised, promoted and sold by you.  If you don’t understand your new home based business opportunity, you will not have it for long.

Many enthusiastic beginners find themselves back in the real world with an overdrawn bank account or a maxed out credit card.  That’s usually because they believe the hype and feel confident that they will not have to learn a business to be able to run it.

I wonder if these ruthless marketers, who promote the ‘This Business Runs by itself’,opportunities, come to realise that they leave hundreds; possibly thousands of disappointed and often, financially wounded victims behind.

The most profound problem with this is that thousands of well meaning, probably hard working people have been lost to the industry forever and they will no doubt perpetuate the common, offline consensus that you cannot make money on the internet because it is full of scams.  Doesn’t that mean everybody pays?

My Progress Report On Starting a Home Business

This story follow just a few weeks in the life of one person who made a rash decision to leap into a new, worldwide home based business opportunity as a complete Newbie. It highlights the struggles to survive, the learning curves and tries it to separate the hype from the real world, all in a brave attempt to remain sane at least long enough to hopefully make some money.

I have spent just a few weeks doing business on the internet and I have reached a new phase for my burgeoning home based business opportunity. My computer desktop is now crowded with e-books and my dining table, chairs, and couches are littered with printed books and tutorials of what, I don’t know.

Do I need all this stuff?  I don’t know, that’s why it’s all still there, It may be very important, or not.  Do I want it? Well, you never know.  As you can clearly see, I have graduated from Newbie to what I would call; ‘a deer caught in the headlights of an oncoming car’.  That’s when you tell yourself; ‘it is far better not to know all this stuff right now, because you’re too busy and confused to handle it anyway’.

This stage is a time when you are no longer sure what type of home based business you have. Do you really need all those opportunities you’ve collected?  Do you even want them?  Are you even sure what purpose they serve or what they can do for you, let alone what they cost you, if anything.  You are simply way too busy with your home based business to figure out what it actually does.

I’m sure somewhere on my desk, amongst the many dozens of reminder notes I diligently wrote to myself during the last few weeks, is at least one which will explain this chaos and gently guide me towards a simple resolution.  I think this is a plan. I’ll look for such a note just as soon as I can spare the time.

At this point, it would be fair to say that I have no idea if I have made any money with my new home based business. That is because, I have not yet had time to find out how to determine that and that is because I am either stressed out doing battle with Google to approve some ads, or, I’m bogged down learning the newest ‘big thing’, or I am half way through writing an article so I can finally have some free time to finish another instalment on my Blog, etc.

Of course, I am also stressing about the lack of available seating in my home, in case I should receive unexpected visitors.  That would be those people I used to know before establishing my presence in Cyberspace.

If you are like me, you have been doing more studying in the last 6-8 weeks than you did during your entire time in high school and you are now forced to sacrifice your social life just to keep some sane working hours.

Who was it that said a home based business is soooo easy. Words like ‘everything is on automatic’, ‘It can be done in less than an hour each day’ ‘It does not require you to learn anything’ ‘Even a child can do it’ ‘It only takes 5 minutes a day’   Of course, they are all lying, they have to, if they told the truth only extremely wealthy, optimistic masochists would ever take on an internet business.

Of course it’s not automatic and yes, it’s going to take a lot more than an hour a day and it most certainly will require you to learn a lot of new stuff about running a home based business in general and creating your own worldwide home based business in particular.  But just because you have come to terms with that, does not mean you should excuse this behaviour. Frankly, there are times when you’ll just want to pick up a virtual e-book and virtually hit someone.

Now, of course, I am waiting for phase three, I expect that will be about the time I get my home back to normal, my brain kicks back in and my friends are once again willing to talk to me.  Just, finally, knowing what it is I am actually doing will be a welcom revelation in itself.

The only thing I am certain about, right now, is that sometime in the future, I will have a functioning, profitable worldwide home based business, whatever that is. You can find out what I do right here,

How I Finally Made Money With My Own Home Based Business!

I had struggled for many months to create a successful worldwide home based business.  Like most new internet marketers, I could lay claim to a large portfolio of failures. I had been scammed and I have paid good money for programs only to be ignored as soon as the payment went through.

I had wasted countless hours and spent hard earned money trying to learn skills from people who couldn’t teach.  These were skills I was told would be essential  if I were to succeed on the internet. But although I had gone through more than one home based business opportunity, I had yet to find a use for some of those skills, even today, more than twelve months later.

To be honest, I had lost more money on opportunities than I could afford. I know I'm far from the only one to do that, but knowing does not give any comfort.  It hurts and it's a little humiliating.  I can tell you, with more than a tinge of embarrassment, that until quite recent times, my monthly income would not have supported me even for a day, and that was after many month of hard dedicated work.

I was very close to giving up on having my own home based business, when I found something truly amazing.  It was called Veretekk.  I knew I couldn’t afford it, but much more important, I knew that I did not have the skills to use it.  To give you some idea, Veretekk asks people to first join for free so they can spend at least a week studying the training areas, before they make a commitment.  Who else does that?

Veretekk is truly awesome in its scope and complexity.  I immediately knew that this was the ultimate prize.  I had found the goal I needed to motivate me to succeed.  But what I still had to find was the means to get to the goal.  This would require two things, a lot of training and study and a reasonable stream of regular income to support me.  That meant yet another home based business.

I quickly noticed that there were a lot of people with their own home based opportunities, who were linked to Veretekk in some way.  They were using theVeretekk system to promote their individual home business.  I decided it would be a good idea to do a little research on all of them and find a program that would suit my abilities and put me in line for my goal.

I finally settled on one. What made that particular home based business stand out from all the others?  It had some very unique features.  This was not a program or a system or a product.  What I joined was a group of people.  Most of them far more experienced than I was, but they all shared one thing, a willingness to help each other to excel in their own worldwide home based business.

There is something very powerful about a group and the Crazy Foxes Marketing Group is no exception.  Through the group I have all the tools I need.  I get 2000 leads every day and I have the use of programs that can handle and process them.  I have everything I need and in addition, I have found friends who teach me what I need to know.  They help me through the rough spots and they educate me on all those skills I knew I needed to learn, but still thought I could avoid without causing myself too much disadvantage. How wrong was I.?

Things That are Important to Know!

If I’d Only Known Before I Began My Home Based Business!


Do not be the person who says that six to twelve months after starting their first home based business opportunity!

I enjoy writing about my experiences, both good and bad, since I first started my home based business on the internet.  It makes me feel that I contribute something for the many people who start out with no one to help them.

I don’t know if you realise it, but at this very moment, around the world, there are millions of people either already doing business on the internet, or thinking about starting their own home based business. I’m one of them.
You probably are too.

There is something very seductive about the idea of working from home.  Imagine sipping your morning coffee, still in your pyjamas, while you respond to your daily emails. That may not be a pretty sight to others, but it sure feels good and it beats the morning traffic to the office.

Of course, you can’t just give up your job to start an internet home based business.  If only it was that simple.  There are a few things you have to do firsts and the ‘making some money’ part, is not on top of the list.

There is a wealth of different types of businesses you can join on the internet.  Contrary to popular myth, the multi-level, or pyramid style program are not the only kind, they are not even the most common, they just happen to be the most visible, the ones you are likely to find first.. Choosing the right option can be tricky, because almost every program offered on the internet these days, comes with glowing recommendations and promises of enough automation to make you redundant before you begin.

Let’s be real. If it’s on automation, what do they need you for?  Do you really want to start a business which you don’t understand? And remember, you won’t necessarily realise that you don’t understand it, till after you have paid your money.

Code speak for automation is, “we think you are a newbie and we think you are probably too impatient to learn what an internet business is really about.  That means once you’ve spent your money you will pack up and go home”.

How can I say that?  That’s easy, you see programs which advertise automation as their key feature will appeal only to beginners, those who believe they can get it all right now, and therefore have little patience to learn.  Anyone with experience knows that nothing gets sold without advertising and good ad copy.  Those are the two most fundamental tasks in an internet home business and they can’t be done with automation.

Starting a home based business is all about asking the right questions.  Learning what those questions are is an art in itself. Before you get started, you will want to know exactly what your choices really are.

What are those different types of businesses that abound on the internet?  What are the core tasks for each of them?  If you were to sign up and pay your money, what would you be required to do with your shiny new program? Who is going to set it all up for you? What will you need to learn to run the business without help?  Who is going to teach you what to do to get customers?

Finally, your most critical question: How and when are you going to start making some money?

The right answer to all your questions is, that 99% of the time, once you have paid your money, everything is basically up to you.  If you are lucky, someone might give you a link to a video tutorial which might answer one or two of your questions, but don’t count on it.  The best way then is to search Google for the answers, that’s if you have the time.

That’s why it’s so important to aim for a home business where you know there are people ready to help you at any time.  Because, without full understanding and control over your business, how can you expect to use it to make money?

Choosing the right home based business opportunity is therefore critical.  If the program you buy comes with mentoring, that’s a good thing, but don’t be fooled, mentoring can be very brief and tends to focus on the top students, particularly those who have upgraded.

When you are ready to choose a program, first consider which type of business is going to suit your talents, interests, and experience, because, at the end of day, if you love what you do, you will make a lot more money doing it.

A good start is to dedicate a full day, or equal to, just checking out as many business offers as you can find on the internet in that time, without buying a single one. This will build up your resistance to scams and it will get the information you need.  You may have to leave your name and email address behind but that’s easily fixed later.  Just don’t use your credit card.

If you can do this, you will have passed the first hurdle which we could name ‘how not to be scammed before you even get started’.  Hopefully, you will also come to realise that no matter how genuine and URGENT the offer might be, it will still be there tomorrow. No one is going to give you a free ride.

Just remember, it’s your job to be careful!  and if it doesn’t make sense to you, it won’t make sense to your customers either.

After you have been through all that, and you have decided what type of home based business opportunity you want to buy, then, provided you are still interested in an online business at all, you are then ready to look seriously and select a program.

Unless you are a very confident person, with past business experience and a clear vision of what you want to do, your best move is to seek a program which is inexpensive, simple to use, easy to understand, with lots of proven backup and support, which is directly focussed on you and what you need to learn to succeed in the future.

Like just about everyone else on the internet, I have had a rocky and expensive beginning.  Around eight months ago I finally settled on a program which provides all the tools I needed to understand and learn to use, all the best systems for advertising and promoting and all the hands on support I could ever want.  During the entire eight months, I have not regretted a moment of it.

Is Fear Your Greatest Enemy?

You are probably still wondering exactly what it is you want from a home based business opportunity. That’s understandable, particularly since there are so many offers presented to you. So I thought I’d give you a ‘pros and cons’ of the whole idea of an internet home based business.
What you need to consider first is exactly what an internet business, as well a real world business requires you to do before you can hope to be successful.

First of all you need a business plan.  Then you need a product (or several products) to sell.  This is where it gets tricky.  If you don’t have a great deal of experience, your instinct will be to look for the product which promises the most automation so that you will have the least to do.
This is where you need to really think about what your role will be in a home based business, whichever one you choose.

Apart from getting a great product you yourself is impressed with, you need to find a lot of other people who are equally impressed and ready to buy it from you. That’ll not be as easy as you think because, apart from the possibility that most people may have been around longer than you and are less likely to be persuaded by flashy programs, you won’t even find these people unless you set up your home business properly.

Online, there is no need for an office, but you may need a website. Then you need to set up an advertising campaign with a budget.  Then you need to look around for the cheapest and best places to put your ads out there.  No matter how great your product sounds, it will not sell itself.  That is your job.  So when you are ready to make your choice, take all this into account.

Whatever help you are promised by the vendor, it is unlikely to include that kind of advice.  It certainly will not include an advertising budget.  The vendor will expect you to pay for the product and for the marketing and promotions of that product and possibly a monthly charge to maintain the product.  This can quickly run into a lot of money and it will be up to you to get the sales to cover those expenses.  This applies in every case I can think of.  So remember, nobody is doing you a favor when they sell you a product.  You need to be a well informed, cautious buyer.

There are a number of steps you should take before you decide on the right product and the right home based business for you.  You must have a business plan which sets out the cost of advertising and any expenditure like monthly fees to keep the plan going.  Expect to pay $100 to $200 a week if you decide to place Google ads. No matter how or where you decide to advertise, it is going to cost money.

There are cheaper options, but if you are new, it will probably cost you money and time to learn what they are and where you can find them.
Most important of all, you must know exactly what you are getting into and make very sure you are comfortable with the people who stand behind the product. In fact, you should probably look for people who are prepared to stand in front of their product, so you can get to know them and get an idea if they are likely to remember you after you have finalized you purchase. To most vendors, once a sale is made it is on to the next one.

So don’t get left behind in the dust with a product you can’t understand and with instructions that do not make sense to you.  All you, or anyone can really do, is eliminate the risks we are able to foresee and always remember; no product sells itself, so chose one which can actually help people to make their business better and more profitable, and yes, that’s what they all claim to be, but you need to learn to tell the difference.

To many people, the toughest part to start a worldwide home based business, is to make the decision itself.  At that point you really have just two options.  Bite the bullet and take action, or let yourself continue to roam the internet looking for that no cost no risk ‘sure thing’. Even free products require you to spend your money on advertising, so I can guarantee you that such a thing doesn’t exist. Life is all about taking a chance and moving on to something better.  If you stay put, nothing bad will probably happen but nothing great either.

There is a third option, but I have hesitated to tell you in case you think I’m being a bit pushy.  But quite frankly, it would be irresponsible of me to tell you all about the negative things that can go wrong, without telling you how you can also be lucky and simply fall into just the right thing for you.

The answer may seem obvious, but do not be too quick to judge.   Unless you have spent the past 6 months to a year, struggling to make money online, with your home based business opportunity; you may be under the illusion that it’s easy to make money on the internet.Trust me it is not.

What so many people choose to ignore is that starting a home based business, on or off the internet, is not a simple matter of finding a product, promoting it worldwide and making a lot of money.  No person no matter how inexperienced would expect to do that in the real world.  But when it comes to the internet there is an assumption that since there is no rent to pay for an office or a shop and no obvious capital to invest, it follows that there is no risk of losing money.

Its not so difficult to rationalize a big price tag with the thought that, you get what you pay for and that the high price you have to pay for that amazing, technical marvel you are about to buy will be money well spent. But the internet is full of smoke and mirrors.  Things are rarely what they seem.  When you download and unravel you flashy package, the product will be nothing like the picture.

What you have is a product of some kind, which an internet marketer hopes you are going to sell for him so HE can make a lot of money.  He will probably succeed because you will not be the only person looking for a shortcut to the money.  Few, if any of those buyers are likely to make any money.

You will soon realize that your shiny new toy is not so easy to sell.  You will find yourself spending a small fortune on Google ads and eZines, to support some rich internet Guru’s next vacation.  The bit of commissions you have managed to earn might be withheld until you reach certain targets.  So you lose your enthusiasm and move on to the next product.

It is a fact that thousands of people walk this path every day, they spend their money, they max out their credit cards and they leave the internet poorer and wiser.  The odds of success are extremely low because so many people gamble their success on pure luck and that is a commodity in very short supply.

A very few people set out on their quest for that worldwide home based business, with a very different mindset.   They do their research first.  They work out the best way to make money and they find out exactly what they need to learn to be able to do that.  They learn what tools they will need and what kind of advertising they can do cheaply and effectively.  They learn all those difficult skills, they have realized, are essential if they want to make money.  In other words, they have done their homework.

The reason most people choose not to do that is because it takes time and it is frustrating.  Before you can even ask people to teach you something, you need to know what that something is.  You then need to find people, strangers, who are willing to give you their time and knowledge freely.  If you can find those people and get their advice without first paying a small fortune, there’s a good chance that you will succeed with an internet home based business.

It would be near impossible to surf the internet today and not come across offers to join a vast array of opportunities which promise to set you up in your own home based business. You may even be one of the many thousands of people who are actively looking for a home business opportunity.

If you are, you probably feel more than a little overwhelmed. Hundreds of offers are presented to you daily and many will make big promises and talk about compensation plans, automation systems and how their program will virtually run the business for you with little or no effort on your part.

It can be very tempting to get caught up in the excitement of a product launch and promotion, and start to believe that all the promises for quick wealth and success can be yours if you just buy this product which will set up in your own home business. So I would like to make a couple of valid points that you should consider before you make any purchase or sign up for any program.

Your single, most important job will be to attract customers, lots of them, to your sales page where they can purchase your product.  That requires promotion and advertising and that applies no matter what your product.

People are not automated and if you offer a hyped up product for them to buy, you’ll attract people who are new to the internet, inexperienced in business and reckless in their decisions.  People like that are not as common as you may think.

An experienced marketer knows that automation doesn’t get you sales, and compensation plans, no matter how ingenious, are meaningless until someone promotes and advertises a product, and somebody else buys it. Only then do you get paid.

On the internet, just as in real life, there’ll always be plenty of people who want you to sell their product. That’s SO THEY DON’T HAVE TO.  Remember that when you look at that shiny new automated failsafe system, it’s one of hundreds of similar products. They keep appearing because they don’t last long.  That’s because people are not silly, just inexperienced.

At the end of the day, business is very basic.  First get some marketing experience and work out a business plan.  Then create or buy a product that has a real value and some practical use to your customers. Make sure that product is something a lot of people need. Then you can set up your worldwide home based business, and market your product in an honest professional way.  That’s how you earn the respect of your customers and why they’ll go on doing business with you.

Friendship and Business; Do They Mix?

What a great thing it is to have friends you care about and who truly care about you.  It is rarer than you think.  Once you reach middle age most of us will have less than a handful of people we can call true friends.  That’s because by this time we have usually experience the difference between acquaintances and real friends.

Personally, I have somewhat passed my middle age and I have just 2 friends, which I can honestly place in that category, that is, until now.About 6 months ago I found a home business opportunity on the internet which promoted a concept that really appealed to me.  It came from a group of people, who call themselves, The Crazy Foxes Marketing Group. They work as a team to promote a variety of products and opportunities, using tools and systems which are vastly superior to anything I had ever seen before.

Each member in the group has their own home business and promotes their own opportunity, but obviously, they share a number of other, worldwide, home business opportunities.  They choose these because it’s agreed by the group that this is something uniquely superior and therefore deserves the common interest of everyone.

To expect to find a group like that in the real world is, I’m sure, a lot more than a stretch. To expect to find it on the internet will probably get you certified.  I mean, this is the worldwide web, the place for scammers, cheats and hackers, isn’t it?

Well, yes, but every rule has a least one exception and by sheer luck, I stumbled right into it.  I had found the place which saved my home based business at a time when I was ready to give it all up and it has turned out to be the greatest opportunity for real success that has ever been given to me.

Believe me I’m as cynical as the next person, in fact, probably more than most.  I’ve been a victim of more scams than I care to name and I have lost a lot of money. But just as I was almost ready to give up, it was as if fate intervened and I found myself a member of the group.

So getting back to friendships and business; No one, not even the closest member of my family could have convinced me that the two would mix.   But that just goes to prove that I don’t know all that much.
